Indonesian Raw Materials

Upon traveling the globe for multi-discplinary studies and business trips, I found myself at the forefront of local farmers and small-time distillers in South East Asia. Villagers were impressed by this young, tall (in their standards), white and bearded man in some Arabian clothes which I had personally designed for myself, walking around and being social with them. Kind greetings, exchanges, the universal languages (laughter, etc) and religion binded us together as if we’ve known each other for years.

Every person asked me what I did for a living and what I was doing in South East Asia. To their suprise I was a perfumer seeking to gain knowledge on my favority subject- agriculture. It was odd to them that a perfumer would even study agarwood because most agarwood is just bought and sold as is and rarely used in perfume blends. Who would? Agarwood is so precious and expensive, it would just drive the cost up of any perfume dramatically.

Once locals discovered that I was running a perfume business and I had both American and Middle Eastern backgrounds, they all jumped at the idea that Olive Aura LLC should be their gateway to the international markets. Agarwood has a growing market in USA. Although its extremely small, we are working on making it grow. Additionally, having a Middle Eastern background was also favourable to them because I can speak that Arabic language and would be able to market this Agarwood for them.

Word spread quickly that a new market was opening for them. This shed light on local farmers and villagers who have no one else to turn to except middle men who live in the city and then sell to international markets. The problem with the middle men is they get blamed for any errors. Some of these middle men have heavy debts on their shoulders because they take the products they wish to sell from farmers and can’t always pay back the cost of each item. Others steal.

By utilizing Olive Aura LLC, I can just take orders, forward it directly to the farmer and have their products shipped immediately. Some farmers are prepared to meet industrialized quantities of patchouli. Untapped agarwood supplies, sandalwood, plumeria, jasmine, ylang-ylang, styrax and other materials are all available for immediate purchase.
